Got motivated rather than achieved ...

Finally we participated in ACM Regional at Kanpur. I messed up things a lot there and our team ended up at 18th position. As expected other team from my college (killall) headed by prasanna stood first, followed XTC++, IITM team and so on. Both the teams got selected for ACM World finals at Canada. When i analyzed my performance during the contest, i realized that i lacked confidence about my solutions to the programs. I felt bad for sometime for not making much success in the contest, but then i got reminded of my IIT Entrance test.
I lost the opportunity for getting admit because of my ego, pride, or what ever u call it. Then instead of cribbing about what happened i decided such a situation should not take place in my future, and it has not happened till now. Similarly after the contest i decided that i should never be in a situation where lack of confidence is reason for a failure. So the bottom line is
"The motivation from a failure(if realized) is more important and everlasting
when compared to feeling of achievement after a success."

The game is not over yet, one more show(i mean contest) is waiting for us at Amrithapuri Institute in Kerala where the next ACM regional is going to be held. Apart from the contest, fun we had there is enormous. We visited Agra during our return trip to college. Agra is a great place to watch, TajMahal in particuar.
